mail-index

mail-index is local-first, read-only recall over your own Gmail, built for AI agents that have no mailbox memory. It syncs message metadata and bodies into a SQLite FTS5 index and exposes it over MCP, so an agent can answer “what did I order,” “who emailed about X,” “find that invoice,” or “catch me up” without ever sending or mutating a single message. Ranked fuzzy search returns sender/subject/date/snippet rows up front, so the agent only fetches full bodies for the handful it actually needs — fast recall, minimal context bloat, and your mail never leaves your machine. Multi-account, porter-stemmed, and snippet-first by design.
